​Chef Manager - Surrey - £45k

Immediate start – 44 week contract

I am currently looking to recruit an experienced Chef Manager for my client's Boarding School in the Guildford area

My client is one of the leading independent Contract Caterer and are recruiting for a stunning junior school. The kitchen caters for 300 covers a service over a breakfast, lunch and dinner service. As the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 10 staff ensuring training, development and management of the team. You will be financially responsible and able to manage budget and costs.

As the Chef Manager, you will also be involved with school events as well as liaise with parents and teachers. This site hosts a number of high end events, so someone with a high level of hospitality and strong craft skills is required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/ knowledge

·        Currently at Chef Manager level with an extensive craft background

·        Have a proven background or experience within the independent education sector

·        A strong understanding of all Food Hygiene/ Health & Safety procedures

·        Willing to be involved in school activities and a strong background in events/ hospitality

·        Hold a current DBS

Working predominantly Monday to Friday, working occasional weekends to suit the demands of the business.
